Development of business plans, feasibility / feasibility studies

A business plan is a basic document where an entrepreneur presents ideas and ambitions, and considers the possibilities in order to achieving business success, at certain period of time.

Since business plan represent what is desired and intended to be achieved in the future, a business plan is also the best for start to controlling the performance of an expected business.

Plans are made before business activities and show which activities must be undertaken in the future in order to answers at questions about what needs to be done, who needs to be done and what timeframe the activity needs to be completed.

It is intended for entrepreneurs and serves to analyze the venture and see all the parts for successful implementation and describes in detail all business segments.

Other beneficiaries of the business plan are financial institutions from which the entrepreneur intends to obtain funds, investors who will finance the project with the entrepreneur, and business partners such as suppliers, customers and others.

The business plan consists of a text that describes the business segments and budgets that prove the conclusions described in the project.

Each business plan is adapted in its form to an entrepreneurial venture.

A business plan consists of about twenty pages and must be clear, realistic, comprehensive, measurable and feasible.

The name business plan is most often used for a document that describes the start of business or change of business, and can describe all changes in existing business organizations.

Prices for making business plans range from HRK 2,500.00 to HRK 20,000.00, depending on the project, and for larger total investments, prices are agreed with clients. A business plan can be made in 5 days from the delivery of all data.

In our business so far, we have realized that during the development of the plan, not all data are available, and they change during the development of the plan.

The biggest challenge is the preparation of a feasibility study in the preparation of projects for financing from the Structural Funds.

Feasibility / pre-feasibility studies are required for complex infrastructure projects where it is important to demonstrate justification for funding from EU funds.

Projects usually include the construction and equipping of new facilities or other infrastructure in the fields of economy, tourism, transport, water supply and sewerage, waste management science, education…

The basic document in the preparation of these projects is a feasibility study, which proves in detail the readiness and coherence of the project idea and analyzes in detail the benefits and costs of the project, based on which the justification of investing in a particular project.

The preparation of a feasibility study with a cost-benefit analysis is a complex task that is usually performed for external applicants by external consultants with appropriate specialist knowledge and references.

For project holders, it is necessary to turn a good idea into a quality project with a clear focus on achieving all goals. For a quality feasibility study, it is necessary to cooperate with other stakeholders and consultants in order to achieve the end result, so that the project has a greater chance of co-financing from EU funds.

The investment plan

The investment plan is made for projects in the amount of more than HRK 700,000.00.

In the development of the investment plan, emphasis is placed on a detailed analysis of investment and operating costs, market and location analysis, technical elements of investment, economic and financial analysis, economic market assessment, etc. Details on the investment plan can be found on HBOR's website https://www.hbor.hr/investicij...

The prices of making investment plans range from HRK 15,000.00 to HRK 35,000.00, depending on the project, and for larger total investments, prices are agreed with clients.

Time of delivery for the development of the investment plan can be made within 10 working days from the submission of all data.

In our business so far, we have realized that during the development of the plan, not all data are available and change during the development of the plan.

Based on our experience, there is the possibility of extending the plan to a couple of weeks to a month.
